New WinTest online scoring utility has been released

We’ve published the new WinTest online scoring utility version. Thanks to Alex, K2BB for the update.

We’ve fixed incorrect multipliers reporting for all the WAE contests. The new version has better UDP traffic sniffing stability. That will be useful for Multi stations having slow network bandwidth or unstable connections over the LAN.

COSB new view option: “Chase the Rabbit”

We have recently implemented a new view option “Chase the Rabbit”. That option could be activated on the “View” page:

It only display the five scores immediately above and five below your score . That would minimize the scoreboard window down to the very minimal size and could help to a contester to concentrate the only on the closest competitors.

It could be very efficient withing mobile template since requires a very small spot on a screen. take a look how that looks like surrounded by the N1MM+ logger windows:

About sharing scores. Why ScoreDistributor.net? (updated)

We are lucky to see more and more contesters publishing their instantaneous scores on the online scoreboards. Thousands of them have already registered their profiles on one of those available.

Many have asked which scoreboard to use during the contest? Currently, there are two. The answer: You could use the one you like the most, or use both, as a few advanced guys do. By configuring your logger to send scores to ScoreDistributor.net, you’ll always have a choice of which scoreboard to use since your score will automatically be shared with all of the existing scoreboards. That way you only need to configure your logger once and forever!

Why Score distributor?

  • Redundancy. Your scores always will be published even if one of scoreboards will be down. In the last CQ WPX CW one scoreboard was offline due some DNS issue. But all contesters using the Score distributor were online on the another one
  • Sharing scores with the whole world. Sending your scores to the Score distributor will publish them on all the existing today scoreboards.
  • Easy to use. Once you have configured your logger to send scores to the Score distributor you can forget about scoring option forever. Just keep it always on. Your score will be everywhere.
